Thank you to everyone who came to the display last night. Despite the appalling weather during the day, (described by someone as ‘a little damp’) there was a moment when it didn’t rain just before seven and we had a great crowd on the field who really appreciated the 20th anniversary show.
We will put up photos and videos over the next few days / weeks as we pull the different pieces together. In the meantime, thank you to everyone from the Rotary Club of West Wickham and surrounding clubs who support the event, everyone from Langley Park School for Girls PSA, and the school itself. And finally, but not least, everyone who bought a ticket and came to see the show. Already looking forward to the 2015 display.
Looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday. The weather means that the field – as in most years – is going to be muddy so bring stout shoes or wear your wellies. Wrap up warm, enjoy the food and drink and have a fantastic fireworks evening as we celebrate our 20th anniversary.
Gates open at 6pm and the fireworks display starts at 7pm. Let’s see if we can set a fundraising record!
More than £8,500 was raised by our 2013 fireworks display.
Many thanks to everyone who came along and made it such a success. The
money raised by the display goes to Langley Park School for Girls, St
Christopher’s and other local charities, and the other participating

Photographer Chris Weedon has delivered another set of powerful photos for the display. Last year he created these shots and this year there are even more. See below.
We have some stunning photos and videos for the 2013 show which you can see on our Photos & Videos page, but if you can’t wait to click that far then you can see some of them below. Many thanks to Knights of Fire Fireworks for the video and Rotary Club member David Burch for the photos.
A big thank you to everyone who helped make this evening such a success. And an even bigger thank you to everyone who ignored the rain earlier in the day and made the effort to come and see the show – your support is just what we need and tell your friends for next year.
Later in the month we also will post up some videos of the show and some photos as well as give a report on how much was made for local good causes.
Don’t forget that this Saturday as well as watching the fireworks you can buy hot food, drinks, glow sticks and lightsabers. Great value for money and all profits go towards our good causes – food and drink prices below:
Food & Drink
Mulled wine £2.00
Soft drinks £1.00
Ghostbusters and their car, TeCT01, will be at this year’s fireworks display raising awareness for Rally Challenges UK. This is an organisation which organises fancy dress banger car rallies across the UK in order to raise funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust.
We are delighted to welcome them to the evening and hope you will stop by and talk to them about their latest adventures and plans for 2014. You can find out more about them and their events on their website as well as their facebook page.
